In Abu Dhabi
Since 2011 we have been a proud partner of Tadweer, Abu Dhabi's waste management office, working to ensure that Abu Dhabi is kept spotless and lovely. We use a team of dedicated crew members as well as a fleet of modern street cleaning machines to ensure the city's avenues, parks and beaches are hygienic and attractive. We also partner with Tadweer to design, develop and manage some of the vital waste infrastructure in the emirate, including a state-of-the art facility to safely dispose of fallen stock.
As in Dubai, Averda operates sustainable recycling centres in Abu Dhabi where residents can drop off a wide range of materials t be recycled. To find your nearest site in Abu Dhabi search online for 'tadweer material recycling centre'.
In Dubai
Since 2013, Averda has been a proud partner of Dubai Municipality, who are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the city. We were one of the waste management partners chosen by the authorities after they privatised some waste collections, and worked closely with them to introduce doorstep recycling services. This offered villas in some areas two bins - one for general waste and one for mixed, dry recycling - for the first time. Averda created targeted behaviour change campaigns which educated residents on how to properly separate their waste for recycling. In addition, Averda has been responsible for street cleaning, using both manual and mechanical cleaners
Expanding recycling options
At the request of Dubai Municipality, Averda has designed, installed and now manages a network of modern recycling centres across Dubai, where residents can deposit a much wider range of recyclable materials than are collected from homes. Recyclable materials include wood, batteries and even leather. These state-of-the-art facilities are solar-powered and are open 24/7.

Stepping up to face Covid together
When the coronavirus pandemic erupted in March 2020, Averda worked around the clock to help the municipalities we work with respond appropriately. In addition to maintaining vital waste collection services through out the pandemic period, we also made some of our resources available to support the extraordinary sanitisation efforts being conducted by local governments. We also ensured that our expertise in healthcare waste was made available to the authorities, innovating and delivering solutions to the sudden surge of potentially-infectious waste generated by the pandemic.
