With the country's tourism revenue expected to reach USD 65 billion by 2020 and the hospitality sector forecasted to be worth USD 93 billion in the next five years, Averda emphasized its commitment to Saudi Arabia's tourism industry during its plenary intervention at Hospitality Business Conclave that took place on 25 January 2016, Park Hyatt, Jeddah.

Currently serving over 140 hotels across GCC - United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar - Averda presented the Conclave attendants with an in-depth view of its specialized environmentally tailored solutions, ranging from high-tech recycling services to sorting-at-source training and waste recovery maximisation.

Priding itself with a portfolio of chain and high-end hotels such as Radisson, Crowne Plaza, Ibis, Movenpick, Novotel, Pullman, Rotana and Hyatt, Averda promotes and creates awareness around sustainability and green-friendly living by establishing a culture of “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle”, whilst strongly encouraging its customers to practice energy conservation as much as possible.

Averda understands the importance of Green Globe certification for the GCC hospitality industry –the premiere worldwide sustainability stamp for the tourism industry. The criteria points for the Green Globe certification cover sustainable management, social/economic factors, cultural heritage and environmental elements and Averda highlighted several case studies of its GCC hospitality partners having been awarded this highly coveted certification mainly due to the partnerships they entered into with Averda.

During its years of bespoke services for the hospitality industry, Averda has partnered with large chains and helped them achieve great results by offering financially rewarding waste management solutions such as recycling. For the tourism industry, sustainability – social, environmental and economic, through the use of effective management plans – is key in reflecting the property’s commitment to delivering sustainable operations and spreading awareness about environmentally friendly living.

Mr. Wissam Zantout, averda’s KSA Logistics Project Director, said: “Hospitality is one of the areas we focus on in the private sector and we have a vast experience in servicing hotelsacross Middle East. We are fully committed to serve and support the hospitality industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabiaand ensure thatour range of services meets the demands of this thriving business sector.”
