Averda, the leading end-to-end waste management, treatment and recycling company in emerging markets is pleased to announce the appointment of Supriya Sen as Independent Non-Executive Director and the Chair of the Sustainability and Safety Committee.
Supriya will be bringing 30+ years of investment banking experience to the role. She has extensive experience with financing public and private programmes in the cleantech and sustainability sectors and her previous employers include World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and Citibank. Supriya has also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director on several public, private and non-profit boards globally, and she will bring this expertise and experience to benefit Averda’s board.

Supriya’s appointment further strengthens the independence of Averda’s board. This follows the appointment, during 2020, of Steve Lucas and Esa Ikaheimonen as Independent Non-Executive Directors and as respective chairpersons of the Board and the Audit Committee.
