Averda scooped two awards at this year’s PMR Africa Awards, an event that recognises service excellence in various industries.
The Awards are based on a national survey of waste management companies in South Africa. Entrants are judged on attributes such as the company’s compliance with regulatory requirements, environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, and overall value for money.
Averda walked away with the win in the risk waste medical and healthcare sector, where we received the highest score, winning us a prestigious PMR.Africa Diamond Arrow Award.
“Winning this award demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that our systems and infrastructure for dealing with this medical high-risk waste are in place and are compliant with global standards,” says Chris O’Neill, Director at Averda South Africa.
Averda also walked away with the Diamond Arrow Award in the Industrial Cleaning sector, which focuses on cleaning hazardous areas in industrial facilities such as factories or warehouses.
