During the "Annual Customer Forum 2015" held on 4 November 2015 at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel - Dubai, organised by Dubai Municipality - Waste Management Department, Averda has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to the success of "My city, My environment" project, being awarded a Certificate of Appreciation.
A first of its kind in Dubai, “My city, my environment” was a pilot project launched by Dubai Municipality to commission the collection of waste and street cleaning to private companies, with the aim of introducing segregation at source in Dubai. This award recognised Averda’s level of service and commitment shown to the project and to the Municipality of Dubai.
Mr Oussama Natour, Managing Director Averda United Arab Emirates said: “Averda’s operations in Barsha 2 & 3 – Dubai encompass manual cleaning, street mechanical sweeping, mixed recycled collection and general waste collection and we are absolutely honoured to have been recognised with this award. We take great pride in our efforts to ensure that Dubai is kept clean and that our contribution to its prosperity and development has not gone unnoticed”.
